Online Indiana Driver License Practice Test

Young driver in Indiana with driving instructor

Learning how to drive can be nervewracking, but taking your driver license test can be just as stressful. Indiana first time drivers need a way to study for their exam without worrying about failure.

Fortunately, there is a way for you to practice for your written driver license test without ever having to leave your home. DTA offers Indiana teens a convenient online practice test that covers the same types of questions that will appear on the real test.

Road Signs and Road Rules

The Indiana driver license exam includes questions on right of way, traffic signs and signals, intersection safety, passing techniques, lane markings, driving the proper speed for conditions, and many more topics. Since you'll be using this real world knowledge when you get behind the wheel of a vehicle, it's very important to have it "in your head" before you are tested on it.

Studying the Indiana driver's handbook is also a necessity when you are getting ready for your test. Let DTA help you prepare for the life-changing experience of becoming a licensed driver.

  • 100 question standard test – The standard 100 question version of the test will provide you with excellent exposure to the types of questions that you will be asked on your driver license exam.
  • Unlimited testing – The 100-question practice test includes unlimited attempts. Study as much as you want to until you feel ready to go to the DMV and take your real driver license test.
  • Not available for motorcycle or CDL – Please note that the test being offered here is the standard version for non-commercial vehicles only (cars and trucks). This practice test will not prepare you for the motorcycle test or the commercial / CDL test for large vehicles (buses, semis, etc.).

Some Tips for New Drivers

Take a driver's ed course if one is available at your school. You'll learn about driving safety with a professional driver looking over your shoulder, and you'll receive hands on driving experience for which there is no substitute.

Practice driving in several different environments with an experienced, licensed driver. When you do receive your license, you should follow all rules of the road as closely as possible and avoid driving with other teens in your vehicle.

You can gain knowledge about driving, but experience is what will help most if you want to avoid crashes and traffic tickets early on. Since you won't have much experience at first, you should drive very carefully and avoid distractions (especially texting while driving).

This online Indiana driver license practice test has been developed by I Drive Safely® and is offered in partnership with Driver Training Associates, Inc.
