DTA provides FREE electronic delivery of your course completion certificate, which will be available for download immediately after you pass the final exam. Your completion certificate will be in PDF format, so you can download and print it.
If you were court ordered to attend the Virginia driver improvement clinic, you will need to turn in your completion certificate to the court after you complete the course. DTA will also report your completion to the Virginia DMV within 48 hours after you pass your final exam if you hold a Virginia driver license.
If you do not hold a Virginia license, we will not be able to report your completion to DMV, but you will still need to turn your certificate in to the court. We recommend that you make a copy of your certificate for your records.

When you receive your certificate, make a copy for your records and forward it to your insurance company. You will need to contact your insurance company to obtain details of when your insurance reduction will go into effect, how much of a reduction you will receive, and how long it will remain in effect.
